(bmg) Für den morgigen Donnerstag, 13 Uhr, ist der 1. Start beim 39. Lake Garda Meeting 2021 geplant. Auf der Meldeliste stehen aktuell 674 Optisegler, darunter viele Segler aus Deutschland. Die Cadetti-Flotte (Jahrgang 2011/2012) soll bis zum kommenden Sonntag 8 Wettfahrten segeln, die Juniores (2006 – 2010) zwei Rennen mehr.
Viele Regeln gibt´s für die erste europäische OPTI-Großveranstaltung 2021, hier ein Auszug: Athletes, coaches and team leaders from foreign countries must show a negative covid test dated 48 hours before their entrance in Italy, this must be declared also on the self certification…Every racing day, before going in the water, sailors must deliver the “body temperature daily check” available on our website, signed and filled with: name, surname, sail number ….Participants must always wear masks, covering nose and mouth,maintain the social distance of 1m from othersand follow the path to enter and exit the building…

Am heutigen Mittwoch gab es mit dem 7. Country Cup die erste Einstimmung auf das Regatta-Geschehen bei Nordwind zwischen 8 – 10 Knoten. Drei Wettfahrten, Dauer ca. 15 Minuten,segelten die 19 Teilnehmer. Sie vertraten jeweils eine Nation, waren nominiert von ihrer nationalen Opti Klassenvereinigung. Lysander Winter, auf Platz 1 der Jahresrangliste 2020, vertrat Deutschland und ersegelte Rang 11. Der Country Cup geht in diesem Jahr nach Dänemark: John Frederik Wolff/Dänemark siegte mit den Plätzen 4,1,1. Auf den Rängen 2 und 3: Erik Scheidt/Litauen; Weka Bhanubandh/Thailand.
