EM-Team 2017: Ganz oben im Länder-Ranking
(bmg) Platz 3 im Länder-Ranking der Optimist European Championship 2017. 153 Jungen und 108 Mädchen aus 44 Nationen gingen in Bourgas/Bulgarien an den Start. Mit diesem Top-Gesamtergebnis gewann das EM Team 2017 ( Florian Krauß, Michael Meier, Pascal Freund, AnsgarHemeler, Cosima Schlüter, Katharina Schwachhofer, Louisa Müller) souverän einen Startplatz für die Optimist European Team Racing Championship 2018 (ETR). Die 16 besten Mannschaften der EM 2017 dürfen an der ETR teilnehmen (20.-25. August 2018, Lago di Ledro) , Gastgeber ist wie stets die Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro (AVLL).

Und so errechnete die IODA ( OPTI-Weltverband) die Qualli-Liste: „16 Countries have qualified to participate in the championship and were selected on the basis of the total points of their sailors at the 2017 Optimist European Championship. The ranking of each country is calculated using the sum of the final positions achieved by the country’s top four sailors (the total net points excluding discards of the best four sailors, maximum two of the same gender). Ablauf der ETR: Die Boote werden gestellt. Es geht los mit einem kurzen Training und einer stimmungsvollen Eröffnungsfeier. Die vier Wettfahrttage beginnen mit der „Round-Robin-Runde“ (Vorrunde), in der jedes Team mindestens einmal gegen jedes andere antritt, es folgen das Halbfinale und Finale.
